IAPMD (the International Association For Premenstrual Disorders) is a worldwide non-profit association providing support, information and resources for anyone impacted by premenstrual disorders. Their website is an amazing source of information, tools and resources both for patients and professional. They provide information about treatments available, how to find a doctor in your area, tracking your symptoms, get diagnosed and much more.
NAPS is a UK charity set up in 1984. It provides information and support to PMS sufferers and their families. They also promote a better understanding of premenstrual syndromes and their treatments by the medical profession as they recognise that this is vital to the proper management of the condition and, therefore, to the wellbeing of those affected by it.
Hormone Health is a private women’s health clinic providing treatments from a group of like-minded specialists throughout the UK. They cover a wide range of women’s health condition like menopause, osteoporosis, complementary therapies, contraception, endometriosis, fertility, hormone replacement therapy (HRT), ovarian cysts, premenstrual syndrome (PMS), and much more.
Vicious Cycle is a patient led-awareness campaign with a team of passionate people around the world. They aim to increase awareness of PMDD within patients and professionals; help undiagnosed and misdiagnosed women by signposting them to relevant support; provide evidence-based information; engage media in conversations about PMDD; involve people living with PMDD in advocacy activities.
See Her Thrive is a team of business psychologists and women’s health experts who provide employers with the right resources and information to support their employees affected by reproductive health. They promote a workplace culture where reproductive health is discussed and supported openly. They also provide resources that you can share with your employer, how to talk to them about your condition, how to explain your symptoms and what are your rights.
Nicole Jardim is a Certified Women’s Health Coach with a speciality in hormonal and reproductive health. She is also a writer, speaker, mentor and the creator of Fix Your Period, a program that helps women to take charge of their hormone health. She addresses a wide variety of period problems, including PMS, PMDD, irregular period, PCOS, missing period and more. She also co-hosts The Period Party, a top-rated podcast on iTunes.
I love her approach which, rather than just treating symptoms, addresses the root cause of women’s period problems, looking at the unique physiology of each person.
Bridgit Danner is trained in functional health coaching and has worked with thousands of women over her career since 2004. She is the founder of BridgitDanner.com and HormoneDetoxShop.com . Bridgit now educates about toxins and detox, and how they impact other body systems, through her blog, online programs, product shop and Facebook group. She also coaches women privately on how to detoxify through a functional approach. Her specialities include: hormonal imbalance, toxic mold, chemical detox, gut health and infections, and thyroid health.
Nikolett Jones, founder of Wellness With Mamma Jones, is a Fully Qualified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, Therapeutic Skin Health Coach, Accredited Keto Diet Coach, Hormone Health and Weight loss coach focusing on helping busy mothers with their health. She takes care of women & mothers all around the world offering natural solutions and nutrition. She is passionate about using essential oils and healthy cooking, you can find lots of delicious recipes on her website.
ITAPMS is an Italian organisation, funded in 2018 by Paola Vallarino who has long battled a severe form of PMDD. Their mission is to raise awareness of PMS and PMDD and their symptoms; promote the development and dissemination of scientific research; raise awareness within public opinion and health professionals for women affected by premenstrual disorders. They are also working on the development of National Guide Lines for the treatment of PMS/PMDD in Italy with a team of expert gynaecologists.
Fondazione Onda (Osservatorio nazionale sulla salute della donna e di genere) was established in Milan in 2005 at the behest of some professionals already engaged in various capacities in the field of women’s health. Their aim is to promote a gender-based health culture at institutional, health-care, scientific-academic and social levels to guarantee women the right to health according to principles of equity and equal opportunities.
Mind provides fantastic support and advice for people experiencing any kind of mental health problems. They also offer additional services like an Infoline and Legal Line.
Every Mind Matters has been created by Public Health England, with tips and advice developed ad approved by the NHS. They give you simple and practical advice to get healthier, to deal with stress and anxiety. You can take their free quiz to create Your Mind Plan.
